Morning Lectures

  • The SLAM Rescue Airway Flowchart
  • Assessment and Evaluation of the Airway
  • Rapid Sequence Intubation, Delayed Sequence Intubation & Airway Pharmacology
  • Simple Techniques to Rescue Intubation
  • Rescue Ventilation Techniques
  • Confirmation of Tracheal Intubation

Afternoon Hands-On Sessions

Attendees will rotate between stations in groups

  • Cricothyrotomy instruction using pig laryngeal tracheal segments:  TTJV, Percutaneous Dilational Cricothyrotomy, & Bougie-assisted cricothyrotomy
  • Basic Tracheal Intubation Station using direct layngsocopy, external laryngeal manipulation and bougie-assisted intubation. 
  • Rescue Ventilation Station: Combitube, iGel, Air-Q, Ambu, LMA and King LT
  • Difficult Tracheal Intubation Station using video laryngoscopy 
  • Intubating Laryngeal Airway (ILA) Station: I-Gel, LMA, Ambu, LMA and others.


Minimum Number of Attendees:

We require a minimum of 20 students.  Often times various EMS entities will partner together to host a course.


Scheduling a Workshop:

  • Signed Education & Training Agreement
  • 2 month planning period is usually needed
  • 50% deposit at time of scheduling
